Found this product which appears to be a clone at a great price. I have two (2) Bosch 1295DVSK's and thought they were great products until I used this one. Buy it, you won't regret it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Hopeful Expectations DashedeBy Ron HumestonHaving been a devoted De Walt product user for several decades I was delighted to see a clone of the Porter Cable low profile sander. Most of my work is in the finish carpentry trade and sanding wood occupies a large portion of my day. I try to minimize sanding by using the better sanders. I found that the Porter Cable sander is aggressive, quiet, a good dust collector, easy to control. When my job-site sander finally bit the dust, I opted to try the new De Walt sander only to find that the unit barely spins at all. I returned it to try another, only with the same results. Now convinced that there was a flaw in the cloning process, I went back to the Porter Cable units, only to discover the same problem with the new Porter Cable sanders. I displayed the difference to my tool supplier, and he could only agree that the newer units do not perform the same.I am now looking at different brands to replace my job-site sander. I hope My old Porter Cable low profile sander doesn't break. To those other reviewers who don't know how the original models perform, I'm sorry they don't know how good it really could be.Some designs are best left alone, and the original Porter Cable sander was one of them.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Has its usesBy Jeff SquierI liked that this sander was low profile , and a bit more powerful than others. However, It was literally a pain to hold for extended periods. Also, the dust collection vacuum attachment port was useless for attachment to the Festool CT26 that works fine for my other sanders.See all 14 customer reviews...
