Working with tough materials requires one tough, no-nonsense tool, and the DEWALT DC411B cordless cut-off tool is designed to meet those challenges. Its 6,500-RPM motor and 4-1/2-inch-diameter cutting wheel are perfectly engineered to cut and grind metal. From rusted rebar and steel I-beams to resilient threaded rod and corroded angle iron, its abrasive wheel will slice through most metals quickly and cleanly. And since there's no cord to drag around, you can work un-tethered anywhere at any height or angle. Besides the cutting and grinding wheel, this versatile tool will also accept a Zirconia-grit flap disk, stringer wire wheel, and rubber-backed sanding disc, allowing you to clean, smooth, shape and finish a wide variety of materials, including steel, wood and masonry. The DC411B has a low-profile, jam-pot housing that ensures precise gear alignment for a smoother, quieter transmission while allowing access to tight, narrow spaces. Other commercial-grade features include a two-position side handle, large trigger switch with lock-off button, and quick-change wheel release. The DC411B comes with a Type 27 safety guard, Type 1 cutting wheel and safety guard, two matched flanges, wrench, and side handle. It's backed by DeWalt's 90-day money-back guarantee, full one-year service contract, and three-year limited warranty. The battery and charger are sold separately.

I fully expected to eBay it away as a bare tool.Surprise! I've used this thing way more often than I expected! Before I could eBay it, I had a use for it. I use it to sharpen shovels and mower blades, and to cut decking bolts. On several occasion, I've used it to cut chain and to cut slots in stripped bolt heads. This tool probably won't be suitable for all-day grinding, but it's super handy for those one-off uses as a cordless tool. I'm keeping mine!11 of 11 people found the following review helpful.Cuts through concrete slab like a hot knife through butterBy Supporting RoleI don't know how some of the other reviewers were using this tool, but I also bought a 4" diamond blade (an expensive high-quality one with lots of diamonds) for cutting through stucco siding and concrete slabs---it works terrific! I don't write many glowing reviews, but I can't say enough good things about this tool. It's light weight and it runs a long time on a single battery---longer than my DeWalt 18V cordless reciprocating saw---doing serious damage. I'm glad I bought it and I'm glad it's in my tool kit. The only negative is that it should have a dust collector attachment because this thing kicks up clouds of dust as it devours concrete.8 of 8 people found the following review helpful.Handy But LimitedBy Brian KowalskiAnyone thinking that this is the same as a standard Dewalt angle grinder with a 120 volt motor/cord will be disappointed. That said, even with this tools limitations on power, it is very handy to not have to lug out cords to do a small grinding or cutting job. If you have budget for only one grinder - and had some heavy grinding to do - get a corded model, for a second, third + grinder, or for only light work this tool can be really handy.See all 22 customer reviews...
