It let me drill some holes in studs for electrical wiring that I could not have drilled with a standard drill due to the angle head However it was disappointing in the torque that it delivered. It had trouble driving screws into wood where my regular battery drill (Hitachi 18 Volt) had no problems. This drill would simply stop turning due to lack of torque. It would not drill through more than one stud without removing the wood chips, where my Hitachi had no problem. I'll keep this drill for the special uses, but not try to use it for anything else.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Good DrillBy Nikki 6Being a Dewalt die-hard, I had to have this DCD740 as soon as it got released.I already have the complete 36v package, so this 90^ drill was kinda the missing link to my arsenal. After using it for 3 weeks now, I have to say, for a tiny battery it packs a hefty punch.I Have not even had to charge it yet. Pretty impressive. The Clutch is plastic and not metal... like all my others Dewalts. So, not 100% sure on durability.IT fits great in the hand. The Huge Trigger is a joy to use, specially when your wearing gloves. The LED light helps in tight poorly lit spaces. The belt clip is nice when your on the ladder. The Two Drill speeds are spot on. Speed 1 is good for screwdriving, maybe just a Tad to fast. And Speed 2 is perfect for drilling.Only neg. would have to be the price. For a dollar shy of $200, you would expect, some more features.Like say... a adjustable clutch, or a 2nd Battery.Either of those two options would secure 5 stars. But, alas, it only gets 4.I would recommend to friends and family..See all 2 customer reviews...
