This is for sure the Rolls Royce of drills. I am in the UK our electric current here is 240v I would put this cordless 18v against any power drill I have used, its performance when drilling into walls is awesome.Remember to turn the speed down though when drilling tiles, it is so fast and powerful I forgot to do this and it melted my tile drill head clean off. I couldn't be without my DeWalt now, a true gem.6 of 7 people found the following review helpful.Beware of repair costsBy Timothy MottI bought two of these and the chuck went bad on one. Fortunately it was under warranty and the company store repaired it. But beware of something. The chuck and clutch and gears are all part of a nosecone assembly that have to be replaced as a unit. If this had not been under warranty, the cost of repair would have been more than the entire drill. Who ever heard of making a drill where you could not remove the chuck and replace it with a generic chuck. I have gone to buying nothing but Bosch and Milwaukee tools at this point.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.HandyhunkBy Randy A. ChristiansenI have haven't had the dewalt a long time, but I bought it for a tilejob that I was doing. I was installing Marble tile in a bathroom and had to drill over twenty holes in the shower and wall tile. The drill has a lot of power and performed beautifully. I had only one scare withit and that was when it just quit working. I thought it overheated, but I gave the chuck and tap inward and the drill started working again and has worked ever since. It was a great value and the shipping was on time and packaged very well. I would and am planning to do it again with otherdewalt tools.See all 5 customer reviews...
