The DEWALT DWX724 compact miter stand has a universal design that works with all brands of miter saws. Lightweight aluminum construction (29.8 lbs.) allows for easy transport to and from the jobsite. The 40-Inch beam extends to support up to 10-Feet of material and up to 500 lbs. Legs provide superior support and fold for easy storage and Leg Lock Levers allow for fast and easy set up. Tool mounting brackets allow easy and secure mounting of miter saw to the stand. The work stops/supports can be repositioned quickly anywhere along the rail. Non-marring feet on tool mount will not scratch material. Miter saw not included.

BarrettI recently bought a 12-inch Dewalt Compound miter saw (DWS780) and needed a stand for it. Amazon Tools Customer Service recommended the DWX724 as did my son who owns one as well. Based on their recommendations, I purchased the 724 model and am delighted with it for a number of reasons.First, it is compact, measuring just 8 inches x 43 inches when folded. (Extended dimensions are 100 inches x 32 inches.) Secondly: it is lightweight at 29.8 pounds, making it easy to transport to any job site.Although I have a Dewalt saw, it works with all brands of miter saws. The 40-Inch beam extends to support up to 10-Feet of material and up to 500 lbs. And the legs provide excellent support and fold for easy storage. Leg Lock Levers allow for fast and easy set up while tool mounting brackets allow easy and secure mounting of miter saw to the stand. The work stops/supports can be repositioned quickly anywhere along the rail. Non-marring feet on tool mount will not scratch material.I use my saw both in a workshop and outside onsite so portability is essential. Both stand and saw need to be easily set up and dismantled and the DWX 724 stand is ideal in this respect. I have long been a fan of Dewalt tools and the compact miter saw stand confirms my belief in the company's superior quality line of products. But I didn't like the weight and length of it. This new version solves the only issues I had with it.The carry handle is easier to get to.The Legs fold down easier with the new locking handle.The size is better (personal preference)The weight is a bit lighter as well.I can't really say there is any cons to this new version, but I do wish it was lighter. Price is still pretty high, much higher than the wheeled stands even. While this stand doesn't have wheels, it makes up for in compact portability.Look one over before you buy it, some people really prefer the wheeled stands, but if you like the compactness, this one can't be beat.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Great DeWalt StandBy Eric R.
