This Heavy duty aluminum LED flashlight from Dewalt puts out 131 lumens. A lumen is a unit of standard measurement used to describe the total light output of the flashlight. For example, a dinner candle provides about 12 lumens. In comparison, this Dewalt 3D flashlight provides 131 lumens.  All Dewalt flashlights are tested by an independent laboratory for the most precise measurement available. This flashlight has both a flood and spot beam combined for more versatility. The flood beam pattern simulates normal daylight conditions to take advantage of peripheral vision. The spot beam pattern creates a narrow, powerful beam of light for pinpointing distant areas. This flashlight uses an LED (Light Emitting Diode) system which is a solid-state semiconductor that converts electrical energy directly into and intense, high quality light. Able to run for very long periods of time on very little power providing extra cost savings. LEDs have greater resistance to shock or vibration damage and do not have a filament that will burn out. It uses a Premium Xlamp LED bulb which provides consistently bright beam and extends battery life. The Anodized aluminum grip pattern resists corrosion, crushing, and provides a no slip grip. The tempered glass lens resists impact and scratches. Its hexagon shaped head prevents light from rolling. It has a rubber o-ring seal to provide moister resistance and a dual setting switch which allows you to switch between a constant beam by clicking the switch or a momentary beam by slightly depressing the switch

For testing comparisons, he bought this Dewalt light and an equivalent Maglite. The difference is clear as day between the two. I have always been set on Maglites but the light output of the Dewalt was so much better I had to buy it. The Dewalt costs more but I don't mind paying more money for a product that is better in performance. The front glass lens is nice, no scratching it. The multi-sided head prevents it from rolling off a flat surface. The grip is very aggressive. The light projection is more focused than the Maglight, even when you adjust the Maglight. Also the flood light is also better. The reflector in the Dewalt is solid aluminum, keeping the LED cooler with better heat dissipation. The only down sides to this light I would say is the price and it's only available in black. I would highly recommend this to anyone.See all 1 customer reviews...
