I just used one for the first time yesterday. These packs are much more powerful, and run much longer than any other pack I've ever used. I spent the day replacing 120 batteries in a large Uninterruptible Power System, using a Dewalt drill to remove and replace all the battery hardware, and the associated hardware holding the batteries in the shelves. I made it through the ENTIRE job on one 14.4 volt battery. I'm impressed. The only negative, if there is one, is the price of over $100, which is double what the NiCd batteries used to be. I suspect a large part of that price has something to do with the statement on the package that says the "cost of recycling" has been included in the price. I'm not sure I really understand that, but it's probably some new government regulation. Regardless, the bottom line is that even though these batteries are expensive, if you want a battery that cranks out the power, and does it for a long time, these are great. What remains to be seen is how well these hold up over time. I'll be very curious to see how many cycles I get out of it. That will be material for another review at a later date ...See all 1 customer reviews...
