Ideal for a variety of projects, this six-inch standard saw boasts an innovative tooth design and set pattern for better reliability when cutting through metal, a more substantial high speed steel strip to protect the teeth from damaging wear and tear, and strong, sturdy backing plates that won't lose their shape. Its most helpful feature, however, is its deep-cut style, which easily handles various materials and densities. And because DEWALT saws outperform and outlast other brands by 35 to 200 percent, you can count on the D180096 for years to come.DeWalt holesaws are designed to last up to 35-percent longer than the leading competitor and up to 200-percent longer than some other brands available. Performance is enhanced in metal cutting applications by a unique tooth design and set pattern. The thick, hardened backing plates prevent warping at holes and increases cycles. DeWalt has increased the size of the bi-metal portion of the holesaw and uses M3 steel to not only increase wear resistance but also produce faster cuts. The deep-cut style increases the versatility by allowing a wider range of thicknesses of material to be cut.

I used it to cut holes in the back of bookcases to place stereo equipment on and for lighting cords. Now it is sitting and waiting. 6 moths as only dust. No rust. One day it will be called upon again.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Great tool if you know how to use itBy GIf possible, I would give this product a 4.5. I've managed to make 6 holes with this hole saw and the first two were very hard to do. Like most DIY'ers i have an 18v Dewalt cordless drill and it kept kicking back after each revolotion and I was growing increasingly frustrated with it. I drilled smaller holes along the edges so the saw dust can exit the cutting surface but I would still get kick back from the drill. The saw became stuck as i was making a third hole and realized how easy it moved in reverse. I applied pressure on the drill as it was a reverse and voala, a whole was created. No Kickback!!! This may have been the "right" way to make holes but on one ever told me!!! I have since created 3 more holes with no problems and very happy. I never write reviews but thought i should share this.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Dewalt Hole SawBy TCDo not buy this to cut holes in MDF, it cuts like a used hole saw, VERY dull. I have used Lennox and they are a much better cutter, will not buy another Dewalt.See all 3 customer reviews...
