Quieter, less weight, and a total work horse... I agree that the one bad thing about lithium batteries is there is no warning.. They just simply stop without warning... But at least they give 100% until that point.. Ni-Cad's will start slowing down, so you have some warning that its time to re-charge,,, but I found myself getting a fresh battery anyway as soon as I notice the tool is slowing down so I guess having an early warning is really of no consequence... That being said, this impact driver is a real pleasure to use... I've dropped it from just about every height you can imagine and still keeps going strong... Lots of power and incredibly light... Its the first thing I grab out of my tool box and have it next to me throughout any job... They are very lite and charge quickly but we use our tools hard and every day and really need the power and run time of the XRP batteries.
